Not Even You
Sunday, September 30, 2012 | 0 comment

Not Even You is an English poem by my friend, Zaff which I met in a debate team when I'm still studying at UiTM Machang, Kelantan. She wrote a lot. But this poem is something you can't resist. You need to read this, fellas. I think it's full of that little something, you can feel inside. And a big thanks for her for sending me this even though you're not into poem that much. Enjoy, fellas!! =]

The day dragged out and spent,
The seams around the edges are torn,
I used to look forward to the end,
Because there was you,
You, especially you.

But all that are gone now,
Dark thoughts, darling, they’re violent,
And horrible silences,
The remnants are like blades that tore,
Like a sickness it permeates,
And it ache, darling, it ache.

The words you said,
The love that you’ve forsake,
They haunted me like a demon that would not rest.
But I clung to them,
Knowing that I detested them,
For all of their lies,
The cursed words that never came true.

In the end, there is nobody that can help,
Nobody is really there,
Nobody really cares.
Not even you darling,
Especially,
Not even you.
